Privacy and Cookie Policy

 

1. Who are we?

Waft Sports (hereafter also: "WAFT" or "we") are responsible for the processing of your personal data obtained on or via our WAFT websites or in hard copy form (hereafter: "WAFT Websites/hard copies"). WAFT is committed to respecting the privacy and security of your personal information.

We distribute and sell products bearing the WAFT brand. All websites relating to WAFT products or the WAFT brand will hereafter be referred to as "WAFT Sites".

2. On this Website, we obtain information about you:

* when you actively submit information on a WAFT Website. You do this e.g. when you register/sign up to become a WAFT member, or when you participate in any other website service (e.g. when you place an order, when you participate in a contest or when you request information); and

* when you surf or browse a WAFT Website: we may use cookies and pixel tags to enhance your website experience and to collect aggregate traffic information for trends and statistics. For more info, please see "cookies and pixel tags".

3. General

The personal data actively submitted by you on a WAFT Website will be used for the purpose for which you have submitted them (e.g. execution of your purchase order, participation in a contest, sending you required information, etc).

4. Placing an Order

You can only place an order if you are a WAFT member/guest, hereafter called 'WAFT member'. If you place an order without being a WAFT member, we will automatically register you in our files as a WAFT member. The data you submit on a WAFT Website when you place an order will be used for the execution of your order, and to register you as a member so that we can supply you with the benefits of WAFT membership.

5.  Other uses

Furthermore, we may use any information obtained about you via the WAFT Websites to personalize your WAFT Site experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you or our consumers in general are most interested.

6. Sending information

By becoming a member, you authrise us to use your data to send you such information, by e-mail or otherwise. If you are no longer interested in receiving information, please opt out on the mailing (if applicable), or email and advise us of your request.

7. WAFT membership

As a WAFT member, you can look forward to special benefits, such as:

one-time registration for easy log in on all WAFT Sites;

receipt of communication (by e-mail or otherwise) on exclusive WAFT offers, sneak previews of upcoming products, and other WAFT information;

ability to check your order history, receive emailed confirmation of your order upon placement, and quick and easy check out;

access to member-only information on any WAFT Site.

Once a member, the data actively submitted by you on a WAFT Website will be registered in the central WAFT database. Please note that we reserve the right to share the personal data actively submitted by you to WAFT, and to link this personal data with other personal data about you that WAFT may have.

We may share your personal data with different WAFT businesses to the extent this is necessary for the purposes mentioned under the header "how we use your personal data".

8. Third party processors

For the purpose of operating our business, third parties (e.g. credit card companies, shipping companies, customer service providers) may process your data, however only to the extent this is necessary to conduct WAFT business. We seek to only deal with third party companies who value your privacy. WAFT does not intend to, or currently stores customer financial details such as credit and debit card information.

9. Do we disclose information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, share or transfer your personal data to any outside parties other than WAFT businesses  and third party processors.

10. Cookies and pixel tags

We may use cookies. Cookies are pieces of information that the WAFT Website may send to your computer while you are browsing the WAFT Website. Cookies work in combination with content within the Website itself, to capture and remember information. For instance, cookies are used to remember and process the items in your shopping cart.

We may use cookies and pixel tags (pixel tags are tiny graphic images) to track - in aggregate form only - our customer’s site usage and understand our customer’s preferences. This enables us to provide our customers with services or to improve the customer’s site experience. We may also use cookies and pixel tags to provide us with aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction, to identify trends and obtain statistics etc, so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third parties to assist us in gathering data, however, they are not permitted to use information collected except to help WAFT conduct and improve its business.

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, you won’t have access to many features that make this Website more efficient and some of our services will not function properly. As cookies are used to track shopping basket items through the order process, it may not be possible to place on order.

11. How can you opt out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?

You have the right to withdraw any consent you’ve given with respect to our use of your personal data. Furthermore you have the right to access to your data and to modification or deletion thereof in the event your data as stored by us are incorrect or otherwise unlawful.

To modify your (e-mail) subscriptions, if any, or to completely opt-out of receiving WAFT communication, please let us know by using the relevant link(s) on any WAFT Website, or please email us directly. Please note that due to e-mail production schedules, you may still receive any mailings that are already in production.

To delete all of your online WAFT account information from our database, kindly advise us by email as stated on any WAFT Website; you can also amend or delete your member information directly online. Note that if you request your account information to be deleted from our database, we may maintain information about individual sales transactions in order to service that transaction or for record keeping. This information will not contain credit details.

12. Protecting your information

We use a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or access your personal information, we require the use of a secure server. All credit card information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted. Regardless of these efforts, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

13. Changes to our privacy policy

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post the changed policy on the WAFT Websites. You are advised to regularly check whether our privacy policy has changed.
